Fluffy’s New Year’s Resolutions

Happy New Year! As we roll into 2017, many people are setting personal goals for the new year. If cats could make resolutions, what do you think would make Fluffy’s list? A Rochester, NY vet lists a few good guesses below.

We probably don’t have to tell you that cats are very, very fond of sleeping. In fact, some kitties sleep as much as 20 hours a day! Fluffy may very well try to sleep even more in 2017 than she did last year. Of course, trying out new sleeping positions and napping spots may also be on your furry pal’s list of resolutions.

Have you ever found your kitty sprawled out in a sunbeam, soaking up those golden rays? Chances are, you probably have. Fluffy may decide to take a certain percentage of her daily naps in sunbeams.

Be Helpful

Does your cat try to ‘help’ you with certain household chores? Fluffy may jump onto the bed as you are changing the sheets, or curl up in a basket of fresh laundry. Other tasks kitties like helping with include packing and unpacking suitcases, wrapping gifts, and cooking.

Work On Debating Skills

Kitties are very opinionated little furballs. While some furballs are more vocal than others are, most of our feline friends do meow from time to time. In fact, many cats seem to enjoy arguing with their human servants!

Perfect The Pounce

Kitties are super cute when they are being playful! Fluffy may very well want to work on perfecting that adorable pre-pounce butt-wiggle cats do. Or, your feline pal may want to work on that tricky run/jump/pounce combo.

Cats take their beauty rituals very seriously! Fluffy may spend hours grooming herself every day. Keeping that pretty fur soft and shiny may very well be one of your pet’s resolutions.

Cats are nothing if not curious. Fluffy won’t waste time checking out new boxes or items that you bring home. After all, your pet has to immediately determine if a new object is something she can eat, play with, or sleep on.

Look Adorable

Our feline buddies are super cute! Fluffy can make us smile just by being her usual self. Your cat won’t have trouble meeting this goal.
