Cute Ways To Celebrate Kitten Day

July 10th is National Kitten Day! Cats are always cute, but they’re almost impossibly adorable when they are babies. Whether your feline pal is still an actual kitten, or just thinks of herself as one, this is a purrfect time to pamper her a bit. A Rochester, NY vet lists a few things you can do below.

Toys

There are few things more adorable than watching little Fluffy playing with a new toy. Kitties all have their own tastes, so try some different ones, and see what yours prefers.

Photo Session

Little Fluffy’s adorable toddler stage will go by all too soon. Snap some pictures of your pint-sized pal, and share them on social media to help spread the word about this special day. Candid shots are always cute, but you can also experiment with various settings and angles.

Box Castle

Our feline overlords are very good at getting us to spoil them. Why not make your tiny furball a box castle? This can be a fun project for kids! Of course, your kitty will also be delighted with a plain box, or even a paper grocery bag with the handles cut off.

Kitty Space

Whether you live in a small apartment or a large house, your kitten will appreciate a spot of her own. Turn a screened patio into a catio by adding pet-safe plants and kitty furniture. Another option is to get your fuzzy buddy a cat tower with an enclosed spot.

Catnip

This may not be a great gift for actual kittens: little Fluffy is immune to the effects of catnip until she’s between three and six months old. If your pet is older than that, indulge her with some of her favorite plant!

Adopt

The best way to celebrate National Kitten Day? Adopt a tiny feline of your own! Of course, this isn’t something to take lightly. Adopting a pet is a huge commitment! Think it over carefully first!

Cuddles

You don’t need a special occasion to snuggle up with your feline buddy. However, if you want to form a strong bond with little Fluffy, you will need to spend quality time with her. Carve out some quality time for your kitten! Talk to her, pet her, and offer lap space. Kitten purrs are precious!
